Into the Unknown

After their wedding, the Son of the Demon King and the Princess of Darkness enjoy their lives; both on and off duty. As the agency of the Hanyo appears to experience an unprecedented era of peace, a temporal disturbance appears above Koji's Montana cabin. A soldier from the future came from the portal, followed by a Cornugon. The soldier suffered fatal injuries. The Cornugon then targeted Koji himself. The Son of the Demon King slew the horned demon with much difficulty. As the Oda family rushed to assist the dying soldier, he informed them that the future has been overrun by a Demon invasion. The Oda family has been reputed to have been killed off in their history, prior to the Demon Apocalypse. As the soldier warned them that the Oda family is destined to perish before the Demon Apocalypse, the soldier drew his last breath.
As the Oda family contemplated about the future, Koji and Melissa agreed to jump forward into the future. Koji's uncle, Derringer, agreed to document that the Oda family was slain by a Cornugon; hence the future history remaining intact. Melissa recanted the spell for the time conduit. Their destination: the Demon Apocalypse. As the familiar portal manifest before them, Koji felt his heart sink, as he was once separated from his birth mother by this act before. But that hesitation was remedied as Melissa held his hand, and reassured him by walking with him into the unknown.
