More Alike Than You Realize

Ever had one of those days when you realize you're thinking just like your dog? It's been almost 23 years ago for me...lol.

I always liked Malamutes, ever since I was a kid I always wanted an Alaskan Malamute. The more wolf-like, the better. Originally, I had imagined my character Koji with an actual Wolf as a pet. But then I realized that wolves don't bark. So what's the next best thing? A sled dog. Also, dogs are better at protecting people than wolves. If one has noticed, the dog's collar has Kanji on it. If one recognizes the Kanji, it says "Oni." That's the dog's name: Oni.

There's a saying that I made up, concerning supernatural creatures whom became guardians of the human race. The comparison are what wolves are to sheep as monsters are to people. The saying goes like this:
"Where do dogs come from? What were dogs before? They come from wolves. What's the difference between wolves and dogs? The wolves eat the sheep while the dogs guards them. What do wolves and dogs have in common? They are both predators. Though we came from wolves...WE are the dogs."
